GS IMPLORES DIACONAL WOKERS TO BE PRO ACTIVE

ST PAUL’S WOMEN’S CENTRE – LUSAKA: 24/05/2022 –The United Church of Zambia Synod General Secretary, Rev CHIPASHA MUSABA implored Diaconal Workers in the Church to be proactive towards the welfare of the vulnerable in the Community.
Rev. CHIPASHA MUSABA said Diaconal Workers need to reach out to the vulnerable and provide tangible help to them.
He was speaking during a workshop for Diaconal Workers  on Tuesday, 24th May, 2022, at St. Paul’s Women Center in Lusaka.
Rev. MUSABA implored the participants to make themselves available as conduits for through which the holistic life’s proclaimed by Jesus could be a reality in those that have lost hope.
The General Secretary also reminded the participants to inspire positive changes in the members of the community even as they help them.
He thanked the Diaconal workers for their dedication towards their duty amidst minimal financial resources.
The United Church of Zambia (UCZ) Synod Community Development and Social Justice (CDSJ) Department led by the CDSJ Secretary, Deaconess MABLE SICHALI is conducting a 4 days training workshop for the UCZ Deacons and Deaconesses drawn from different Presbyteries .
The workshop which started on the 23rd May 2022 is aimed at empowering the Diaconal Workers with knowledge and skill to help improve the lives of the poor and the vulnerable in communities through self-help groups.
