Join the Pilgrimage to Israel

Jerusalem-of-IsraelAs part of our outreach programme The UCZ, working with local partners, organizes an annual trip for Christians to visit Israel, commonly referred to as the “Pilgrimage to the Holy Land” This year’s trip will take place from 25th October, 2013 to 3rd November, 2013.

Why visit Israel, you might ask? Israel is the birth place of our Lord Jesus Christ at Bethlehem; you will see Biblical sites and walk where Jesus walked and taught; when you see the very places mentioned in the Bible your understanding of the Word will change; visit the River Jordan where Jesus was baptized; take a panoramic view of the Old city of Jerusalem from the “Mount of Olives”; delve into the “Dead Sea Scrolls”; visit the Sea of Galilee and Nazareth, the town where Jesus lived his early life as a child; see the excavations of the ancient fortified city that was once the Biblical Armageddon and one of Solomon’s important centres; . . . and many, many more Biblical sites.

The trip to Israel also gives UCZ pilgrims an opportunity to connect with Christians from other denominations. The total cost of the eight-day trip is US$2,575 or KR14,000 per person which includes a return air ticket, accommodation, breakfast, dinner and transportation around Jerusalem. The deadline for making payments is 31st August, 2013.

All Christians are invited, particularly members of the United Church of Zambia, to Register NOW for this life-changing trip to the Holy Land.
Please contact your Presbytery Bishop’s Office in your respective areas or your local Church leadership for further details and information about how to register or ring Synod Office at 211-250641 and speak to the Administrative Secretary, Mr. Rodgers Ng’ambi or the Secretary, Mrs. Isabel Makanga.
