KITWE, UCZ UNIVERSITY: 26-04-2024. Over three hundred students have graduated in different disciplines at the United Church of Zambia University (UCZU) during its 71st graduation ceremony held on Friday, 26th April,2024.
The ceremony which was held at the Kitwe Campus was officiated by the Ministry of Education Director, Primary Mr. Kezala Mwale.
During his keynote speech, Mr. Mwale applauded UCZU for its contributions to human capital development.
He highlighted the university’s dynamic vision for quality education while emphasizing on its role in economic diversification, community engagement and youth empowerment.
Mr. Mwale urged the graduates to serve society diligently and act as ambassadors of UCZU as they embark on their professional journeys.
And speaking at the same occasion, UCZU Vice Chancellor, Rev. Dr. Jonathan Kangwa, urged the graduates to utilize their education to make positive contributions to the country.
He emphasized the importance of innovation in addressing societal challenges.
“Use this education to make a positive contribution to society, because that’s why you have been empowered. Conquer the world and make a positive contribution” he said
Meanwhile, UCZ General Secretary, Rev. Chipasha Musaba commended the university’s faculty for their dedication in imparting knowledge on the graduates.
He reiterated UCZ’s commitment to equipping citizens with diverse skills for national development.
