13-06-2024- The United Church of Zambia Synod outgoing Health Secretary, Giner Oliver, has thanked the church for its support during her tour of duty as a Mission partner from the Methodist Church of Britain and the Church of Scotland.
Speaking Thursday at the United Church of Zambia Synod Headquarters during her farewell remarks, Mrs. Oliver said she would cherish her work and stay in the country.
And United Church of Zambia Synod Bishop, Rev. Sydney Sichilima said the UCZ will always be grateful for Mrs. Oliver’s unwavering dedication to the church’s mission and the community during her tour of duty.
“To you our beloved leader, we would like to thank you for your unswerving commitment to the work of the church. The republic of Zambia is geographically a huge country but you have traveled through the country to provide leadership in the facilities, said Bishop Sichilima.
Bishop Sichilima said the Church appreciates the partnership with the Methodist in Britain and the Church of Scotland, adding that Mrs. Oliver’s services will leave an indelible mark on the UCZ.
Mrs.Oliver joined the United Church of Zambia Synod as a mission partner from the United Kingdom in 2021.
Synod Management has since appointed the Rev. Emmanuel Kafwita Bwalya of All Saints Congregation in Lusaka Presbytery to Act as health secretary.
