LUSAKA,–LUSAKA PRESBYTERY: 20/06/2024– The United Church of Zambia retired Minister , Reverend Timonthy Chamuka has died.
Rev. Chamuka passed on in the early hours of thursday , the 20th June ,2024 at the University Teaching Hospital ( UTH ) in Lusaka after an illness.
This is contained in a funeral notice Lusaka Presbytery Bishop Rev. Dr.Lordwell Siame made to the Church Workers and Christians in the Presbytery.
“To the Ministers, Diaconates and the Lay faithful… It is with deep regret to announce the passing on of our dear Minister the Rev. Timothy Chamuka,” the statement reads in part.
Funeral is being hosted at the deceased’s residence in Garden park in Garden, near Chisomo Hospital along Mumbwa Road.
Rev.Chamuka is survived by the wife , Mrs. Chamuka, and children.
The deceased Minister served the Church in different capacities and stations before his retirement from active service in 2019, with Mount Hermon Congregation, Marapodi Consistory in Lusaka Presbytery being his last station.
Soon after his retirement from active service in the United Church of Zambia, he took up an appointment to serve as partner in mission under the United Congregational Church of Southern Africa (UCCSA) ,Synod of Botwana in 2020 until his demise.
