MISSION OFFERING BEARING FRUITS.

MUMBWA – NAMBALA SECONDARY SCHOOL: 19/02/2025-The United Church of Zambia’s (UCZ) newly introduced Mission Offering, where each member contributes K100 to enhance the Church’s mission, is making a significant impact.
The mission offering has so far helped pay 16 out of 23 retirees who had been waiting for their dues for a long time.
Furthermore, the UCZ Synod has also extended it’s support to Nambala Secondary School, donating K62,000 towards roofing the school’s dining hall, which had its roof blown off by a storm. The funds were officially handed over by UCZ General Secretary Rev. Chipasha Musaba and UCZ Lusaka Presbytery Bishop Rev. Dr. Lordwell Siame at a ceremony held at the school.
Speaking at the event, Rev. Musaba emphasized on the Church’s dedication to both spiritual and social development.
“It is both an honor and a privilege to stand before you today on this important occasion as we, the United Church of Zambia, extend our support to Nambala Secondary School.”
He emphasized the Church’s commitment to fostering education and improving learning environments, stating that restoring the dining hall would enhance both academic and personal development for students.
“This contribution is a demonstration of our commitment to holistic ministry, one that not only nurtures spiritual growth but also responds to social needs,” he added.
Speaking at the same event, Rev. Dr. Siame urged students to appreciate and take care of school infrastructure.
“Do not vandalize the school so that we can continue developing instead of going backwards. Thank you, Synod, for this support, and I can assure you that the school will put it to good use.”
Nambala Secondary School Head Teacher, Mr. Kabwe, expressed deep gratitude for the donation, explaining that the school had been struggling to raise funds for the roof.
“We are very grateful for this donation. We have been trying to raise funds to roof the dining hall, but with this help from Synod, we will now channel that money towards other projects to improve the pupils’ learning experience.”
