KABWE,–UCZ DIAKONIA CENTRE: 05/07/2024- The Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to the United Church of Zambia on the election of Rev. Chipasha Musaba and Rev. Festus Bwembya Chulu as General Secretary and Synod Bishop, respectively.
CCZ General Secretary, Fr.Emmanuel Chikoya said the election of the two UCZ leaders at the 31st Synod Meeting is proof of their dedication faith, and leadership within the United Church of Zambia.
Fr.Chikoya explained that the induction of Bishop Chulu, marks the beginning of a new chapter of spiritual leadership.
“We have every confidence that your tenure will be marked by prayerfulness, unity, and the fulfillment of the church’s vision and mission. Your experience as Bishop of Muchinga Presbytery has undoubtedly prepared you for the significant responsibilities that lie ahead.”added Fr.Chikoya.
Meanwhile,Fr.Chikoya observed that the continued leadership of Rev.Musaba will undoubtedly contribute to the growth and strength of the UCZ.
He added that CCZ looks forward to witnessing the positive impact of the service of the leaders in the years to come.
Fr.Chikoya has also wished the two leaders of the United Church of Zambia God’s wisdom and grace to guide them as they embark on this journey.
