KABWE,–UCZ ST PETER’S CONGREGATION: 15/09/2024- The United Church of Zambia(UCZ) inducted Rev.Chipasha Musaba on 15th September 2024 as General Secretary at an induction service held at UCZ St.Peters Congregation in Kabwe South Consistory of the Central Presbytery.
This followed his successful election held during the 31st Synod meeting held between 28th June and 2nd July,2024. And in his statement of call,Rev.Musaba said he was committed to serving God as he takes office for the second term.
“I am fully committed to serving with the same passion and dedication as I did in the first term,”he said. He also thanked the Church for taking time to pray and fast for the Church and it’s leadership in difficult times.
Rev Musaba said through the support of the UCZ members, his leadership has made significant strides in advancing the mission of the Church by fostering unity and building a strong community rooted in love and service.
The UCZ General Secretary said he was reminded of the many blessings and challenges faced with the Church as a body of Christ.
Meanwhile,UCZ Synod Bishop Rev.Festus Chulu in his sermon titled “Arise Above Discouragement”said the Church is poised for a great revival because God is amidst it.
Rev.Chulu using scriptures derived from Nehemiah 4:1-14 and 1st Corinthians 15:58 encouraged the congregants to arise above discouragement but continue serving God.
Rev.Chulu also encouraged the General Secretary not to allow negative criticism to discourage his work for God.
Bishop Chulu advised the congregants not to pay evil with evil but instead look up to God for guidance.
The induction service was attended by Former Permanent Secretary for Water and Development Bishop Eddie Chomba,Member of Parliament for Bwacha Constituency Sydney Mushanga,Former Synod Bishop Rev.Sydney Sichilima among , other clergy.
