All is set for the United Church of Zambia Southern Presbytery Corporate Sports Gala scheduled for Saturday,24th June,2023.
The Sports Gala slated for Choma Secondary school is expected to be graced by Southern Province Minister Cornelius Mweetwa with a special guest appearance of Samuel Matete.
Southern Presbytery Bishop, Rev.Elias Sinkala has revealed that ten congregations and 8 companies have so far confirmed attendance.
Rev. Sinkala said the event is meant to promote awareness on non-Communicable diseases among Choma residents and beyond.
“As a Church, we also need to take up the responsibility of educating congregants on the importance of keeping fit and fighting non-communicable diseases that are on the increase,” he said.
He also explains that the Church also aims to raise money for supporting Mission Stations within the District.
