CHISAMBA,–UCZ CHIPEMBI GIRL’S SECONDARY SCHOOL: 05/07/2024- The United Church of Zambia (UCZ) Synod has donated five bunk beds to Chipembi Girl’s Secondary School.
The support which comes through the department of Community Development and Social Justice is aimed at cushioning the challenge of accommodation at the institution.
Chipembi Girl’s School Headteacher Albert Chituka, expressed gratitude at the gesture to support the school in addressing the inadequate bed spaces.
He said the School was still grappling with limited bed spaces against the number of pupils who had passed to enroll in the institution.
Meanwhile, UCZ SYNOD Community Development and Social Justice Secretary Deaconess Mable Sichali emphasized the importance of community support.
Deaconess Sichali said her office was compelled to render assistance to the school when it heard about the bed space challenge.
“When we heard about the bed space challenge, we organized ourselves as a department and are here to hand over these beds,” she said.
Speaking at the same event, UCZ Synod Education Secretary Darius Mumba highlighted the Church’s commitment to offering quality education.
Mr.Mumba said the gesture by SYNOD resonates with the theme of understanding the times and what to do.
He said the donation could not have come at a better time than when the school was faced with inadequate bed spaces.
