UCZ Synod United Church of Zambia
KAFUE ,–KAFUE BOYS, KAFUE RURAL HEALTH CENTRE AND UCZ BETHLEHEM CONGREGATION: 14/02/2024–The United Church of Zambia (UCZ) with support from World Renewal has donated an assortment of essential cleaning supplies to communities in Kafue District.
The donation which includes chlorine, liquid hand wash, washing basins, posters, disinfectants, and protective equipment was given to various beneficiaries including the UCZ Bethlehem Congregation, Kafue Boys Secondary School, and the Kafue Rural Health Centre.
Speaking during the donation, Community Development and Social Justice Secretary Deaconess Mable Sichali said the donation is meant to help targeted communities in fighting the cholera pandemic.
Mrs. Sichali also emphasized the importance of responsible utilization of the donated items, underscoring the critical role each recipient plays in the fight against cholera.
She also commended World Renewal for their unwavering support towards the Church in improving the wellbeing of people in different communities.
And UCZ Bethlehem Congregation Minister in Charge Reverend Judith Nondo has thanked the CDSJ Department for their compassionate outreach.
Rev. Nondo noted that despite the department’s vast responsibilities, it still found time to care and offer support during the cholera outbreak.
Meanwhile, Kafue Boys Secondary School Head teacher, Mr. Emmanuel Chileshe has applauded the CDSJ department for their timely intervention in remediating the cholera outbreak.
Mr. Chileshe said the donated supplies are significant in maintaining a healthy environment at the school and will help alleviate the school’s budgetary constraints.
