EASTER PASTORAL MESSAGE FROM THE UNITED CHURCH OF ZAMBIA SYNOD BISHOP REV SYDNEY SICHILIMA

UNITED CHURCH HOUSE– LUSAKA: 14/04/2022 – The United Church of Zambia Synod Bishop, Rev. Sydney Sichilima, has urged Christians to be beacons of peace and hope in the communities they live.
Rev. Sichilima said the good news of the resurrection of Jesus should inspire Christians to rise up from difficulties and encourage others to believe in God.
The Synod Bishop was speaking on 14th April, 2022 when he delivered Easter Pastoral message to Christians
“From the Gospel, it is in such and many situations that the risen lord meets us and says: do not be afraid, go and tell my brothers and sisters that; I have seen the Lord!” it is amidst such dark moments that Jesus’ response to the grief-stricken women and other disciples resounds victory and hope for us today, calling us to be signs of hope and be part of the renewal of our communities” he said
Rev. Sichilima also appealed to all Christians to learn to live in harmony with one another and embrace those with divergent views.
He said women who first spread the good news about the resurrection of Jesus Christ are a clear testimony that God does not segregate humanity based on social status.
